On Feb. 20 at approximately 8:50 a.m., the Wal-Mart Store in California Maryland received its 7th bomb threat. Throughout the past two weeks resources from the St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office, Maryland State Police, St. Mary’s County Bureau of Criminal Investigations (BCI), the Southern Maryland Information Center (SMIC), the Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI), the Secret Service, the High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area Unit (HIDTA), and the Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS), have been communicating in an effort to apprehend the person making these threats.
These calls are being taken very seriously and all available resources are being utilized to stop them. Detectives ask that anyone with information call Crime Solvers at (301) 475-3333. Callers can remain anonymous and may receive a cash reward.
UPDATE 11 a.m. on Feb. 20:
As of 11 a.m., the Wal-Mart store is being reopened after a search provided negative results of a bomb or threat of a bomb.
The investigation continues to find the person(s) responsible for this act.

The Wal-Mart store in California has just received the 7th Bomb Threat in a little over a week.
Entrances and exits surrounding the parking lot are being blocked off. Police are on the scene and they are currently evacuting the store at this time (9:10 a.m.).
The bomb threat was called in at 8:50 a.m. on Feb. 20.
Police continue to investigate.
