Chesapeake Public Charter School are Hovercraft State Champs

Chesapeake Public Charter School Sixth Graders become State champs in the Middle School Hovercraft Engineering Challenge. On Saturday, Feb. 14, the Maryland Hovercraft Engineering Challenge for Middle Schools, sponsored by the Maryland Museum of Industry, was held at Morgan State University in Baltimore. It was a clean sweep for Chesapeake Public Charter School of Lexington Park! There three teams placed 1st, 2nd and 3rd for the overall challenge. The Challenge consisted of three categories - the written report, the oral report and the performance demonstration. State Winners: Overall scores from all three categories were computed to determine the winners. |
