Woman Rear Ends School Bus

Shortly after 3 p.m., on Feb. 2, rescue crews responded to a motor vehicle accident involving a school bus in the 22900 block of Town Creek Drive near Holly Road in Town Creek. Crews from Lexington Park and Bay District arrived on the scene of the two vehicle accident to find a Chevrolet Malibu had rear ended an unoccupied school bus (Bus # 589). The driver of the Chevy Malibu was transported to St. Mary's Hospital as a priority 2 patient, non-life threatening injuries. The driver of the school bus was not injured. No word if any charges have been made.

happygolucky 2/2/2009 at 5:26 PM quite a few school bus accidents Are bus drivers all still drunk from last nite's super bowl parties? Been a couple of accidents today. There were several last week in the "snow". And it will snow/rain tonight while the temps hover around 32*. I hope the emts are all ready to run to a few more school bus accidents tomorrow. Although I did notice an awful lot of bus accidents lately. How does someone hit a school bus? Its huge, yellow and has flashing lights!

koko 2/3/2009 at 6:09 AM Reply to happygolucky: STUPID DRIVERS Hey did you notice that the car ran into the back of the bus, oh no thats right according to alot of people the bus driver is responsible for everything that happens on the bus. It would be nice if people could ride on the bus for just one day with us and see what goes on inside and outside of the bus. You would be really amazed and have a little more consideration for bus drivers.

The bus was rear ended! dah!!! That means the car behind it hit the bus, not the bus drivers fault!!! dah!!! The driver of the Chevy Malibu needs to pay more attention to how they are driving to prevent accidents since they could not see a big yellow bus in front of them. Maybe they need to get there eye sight checked and there depth perception checked. I am glad to hear that the driver has non-life theatening injuries.
