Announcing New Board Members and Officers
LEONARDTOWN - 1/26/2009
The Board has been instrumental over the past several years in helping complete a successful building project for the hospital, expanding the array of medical specialties on staff, creating a healthy fiscal base for growth and development and helping the hospital acquire many cutting-edge technologies. New to the Board is anesthesiologist Dr. Harold Lee. Dr. Lee, chief of the Medical Staff at St. Mary’s Hospital, has been a part of the Medical Staff since 1998 and has served as the chief of anesthesia since 2006. Born in Ohio, Dr. Lee is married to Dr. Monica Lee and has four children. Dr. Lee graduated from the University of Miami, Fla., and then performed his internship and residency at Milton S. Hershey Medical Center in Pennsylvania. Joining Dr. Lee is Hollywood, Md., resident Karen “Kay” Owens. A native of St. Mary’s County, Kay has worked for the U.S. Information Agency and the Department of the Navy’s Comptroller Office and Cost Department, retiring in 2008 after 36 years of government service. Kay has served as president of the St. Mary’s Hospital Auxiliary since January 2008 and has been an Auxiliary member since November 2005. She is also secretary of the Auxiliary of the Leonardtown Volunteer Fire Department. The Board also recently met to elect new officers. These elections yielded the following results: Linda Dudderar, chairwoman; Lewie Aldridge Jr., vice chairman; Robbie Loker, secretary; and R. Timothy Storch, treasurer. |
