Shed Fire Causes $15,000 in Damage

On Jan. 19 around 3:34 p.m., firefighters from Leonardtown, Bay District and Hollywood responded to the 42200 block of St. John's Road for report of a fire.

Upon arrival, 30 firefighters helped to battle a blaze in a 10 foot by 20 foot shed owned by Richard Shoemaker.

Investigation revealed that the electrical system in the shed failed, causing the fire. The fire has been ruled accidental in nature.

Damage is estimated to be $15,000. No injuries were reported.
