Man Beats Woman, Flees Before Cops Arrive

On Jan. 15, St. Mary's County deputies responded to a report of a domestic assault in progress on Washington Street in Leonardtown. Investigation revealed Raushiek Antwan Simpson, 34 of Leonardtown, was in a verbal dispute with the victim which turned physical when he pushed the victim to the ground. The victim cut her hand. Simpson fled the residence prior to deputies arriving, but was located a short time later and arrested for second-degree assault. |
