On, Jan. 5, around 12:20 p.m., school resource officials at Lackey High School received a report that a student had a weapon.  The officer located the suspect but did not find a weapon.

Further investigation revealed the suspect hid the weapon in another student’s back pack, unbeknownst to that student. The officer located the student and recovered a Powerline 240 pellet gun from his book bag. The student who brought the pellet gun to school was arrested and charged with carrying a concealed deadly weapon on school property.
