Celebrate the New Year at Annmarie Gardens

Start your new year at Annmarie Garden during the last nights of Garden In Lights. The walk-through light show will be open from 6 to 9 p.m., on both New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day, Dec. 31 and Jan. 1, providing visitors one last chance to see the colorful displays. The cost is $3 for adults; $2 for seniors; $2 for children 5-12; children under 5 and AMG members are free. Admission includes access to Garden in Lights, as well as all the exhibits, shows and special holiday activities at Annmarie Garden. Visitors can enjoy the lights outside and then step indoors for warm food and drink, holiday shopping, festive music and creative art exhibits and activities. Unique to the New Year’s festivities, additional family-friendly activities will be offered to help celebrate the new year. Upcoming entertainment includes: Dec. 31 from 6 to 8 p.m., Sunshine Girl, an acoustic rock/folk bank will be playing. Jan. 1 from 6 to 8 p.m., Nia Olebiski, a jazz band will perform. Please no pets during special events; groups and tour buses should call ahead. Directions: Annmarie Garden is conveniently located just off Route 2-4 on Dowell Roadin Solomons. From Washington, DC: Follow Route 4 East (Pennsylvania Avenue) down to Solomons. From Baltimore, MD: Take Route 3 South, which becomes Route 301, to Route 4. OR Follow 1-97 towards Annapolis. Merge into Route 2 and follow Route 2 South until you reach Route 4. From Annapolis, MD: Solomons is an easy drive down Route 2 to Route 4. From Richmond, VA: Follow Interstate 95 North to Route 207, which becomes Route 301. Stay on Route 301 until you reach Upper Marlboro, then take Route 4 South to Solomons.
