Just as discovering the spirit of Christmas changed the life of Ebenezer Scrooge, treating your family to the theatrical magic of A Christmas Carol leads to delightful discoveries about the joyful spirit of the holiday season. This year's play promises to entertain young and old alike. Cast members range in age from four to 64, and this year the ending will include a surprise for the audience. This year's play is directed by Bess Wilkins, co-directed by Sid Curl and produced by Kevin McAndrews. With all the warmth and comfort of a cup of Christmas cheer, A Christmas Carol is packed with laughter and pageantry. A Christmas Carol springs to life, from spine-chilling ghosts to heartfelt renditions of traditional British carols. Crotchety Scrooge, lovable Tiny Tim, and all the fascinating characters that audiences have come to love make Charles Dickens' enchanting story a treasured holiday event. This is the second year the Twin Beach Players will perform at the beautiful theater inside the St. John Vianney Family Life Center at 105 Vianney Lane in Prince Frederick. The story always evokes emotion regarding life's chilling poverty and wealth, and the struggle of a lonely man who is given a rare gift-the chance to change his life and find his heart. Most families can't imagine Christmas without a retelling of this enchanting tale, which combines comedy, pathos, and a heartwarming finale. And, thanks to literature's most disarming ghosts, a mixture of the supernatural with the sentimental. Charles Dickens, after all, was the first to delight both children and grown-ups alike by revealing that there were ghostly spirits involved in the mystery of Christmas spirit. |
