Nine Vehicles Ransacked in Solomons

Calvert County Sheriff DFC Moises Velasquez responded to a home on Patuxent Ave in Solomons on Dec. 13 at 8:20 a.m. 

The homeowner advised that unknown suspect(s) had broken into his two unlocked vehicles sometime overnight.  While there, DFC Velasquez was approached by 5 nearby neighbors, all reporting their vehicles had been entered, ransacked, damaged and/or had items stolen from within. 

In total, a Nuvi Garmin GPS worth $300, a TomTom navigation system valued at $500 and damage in the amount of $1000 was reported.  Only one of the nine vehicles that were entered had been locked.
