LEONARDTOWN - 12/9/2008
|
On Dec. 4, the victim reported Daniel Earl Garner, 32 of Thomasville, NC, took her father’s 1991 Chevrolet Lumina mini van without permission from her residence in Leonardtown. The victim reported Garner was operating the vehicle while under the influence of alcohol. Senior Deputy First Class K. Somerville located Garner and the vehicle at Camp Maria Drive and Breton Beach Road in Leonardtown. Sdfc. Somerville could detect a moderate odor of an alcoholic beverage upon Garner’s breath and person. Garner was given a standardized field sobriety test and subsequently arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol. A check of Daniel Garner’s information revealed an outstanding warrant for failure to appear in court. Garner was also charged with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. |
