On Nov. 29, at 3:12 p.m., Cpl. J. Linger responded to the St. John’s Pharmacy for the reported prescription fraud.

Cpl. Linger made contact with a Pharmacy employee, who identified Patricia Dawn Merrill, 46 of Lexington Park, standing at the door of the Pharmacy.  The employee advised Ms. Merrill was in the company of John Thomas Merrill, 47 of California, who had left the Pharmacy after dropping off a fraudulent prescription for Methadone.

Ms. Merrill was taken into custody and transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center where she was charged with attempting to obtain a drug by fraud.

TFC Rezza located Mr. Merrill a short time later and took Mr. Merrill into custody and transported him to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center where he was charged with attempting to obtain a drug by fraud and uttering a forged prescription.  A routine check of NCIC revealed John Merrill also had an outstanding bench warrant through MSP Prince Frederick.

Both subjects were held at the detention center pending a bond review.
