Students Win SkillsUSA State Championship

Two graphic Tiffany Rose won first place and a gold medal, while Melanie Dyson won third place and a bronze medal. Tiffany’s first place pin design will be produced by the SkillsUSA Supply Service in a limited “I think it is an honor to be able to proceed to the national level. I was surprised when I won but very excited at the same time, said Tiffany. She went on to say that she had never been to Kansas City before. "I think it’s cool to go somewhere I haven’t been and represent the Dr. James A. Forrest Career and Technology Center. I am a year two student there and I am in the Graphic Communications program in the Tech Center,” she continued. Fellow skills winner, Melanie was also excited about her achievement, "It’s an honor to win an award such as this especially at the state level. And I’m so excited for Tiffany who will continue on to nationals and I wish her the best of luck.” |
