A busy month lies ahead at Regency Furniture Stadium as the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs gear up for the holiday season.  Tickets for all events are still available by calling (301) 638-9788, by visiting www.somdbluecrabs.com or by stopping by Regency Furniture Stadium.

The Southern Maryland Blue Crabs are teaming up with the Tri County Youth Services Bureau and the Greater Waldorf Jaycees Toys for Tots to present Breakfast with Santa “Claws” on Dec. 13, from 8 a.m. to noon at Regency Furniture Stadium.  We encourage everyone to come out and help us celebrate the holiday season and give back to the community by bringing an unwrapped gift for the Greater Waldorf Jaycees Toys for Tots. The Greater Waldorf Jaycees distributes new, unwrapped toys to children up to 18 years of age each Christmas.  The best donations are sporting goods, toy cars/planes/boats, dolls, board games, books, bicycles, scooters, puzzles, models, hand-held video games and small electronics.

The event will also include a $5 French toast breakfast, free stadium tours, free hot chocolate, a 25 percent discount on selected merchandise in the Crab Shack, and a photo opportunity with Old St. Pinch.  Tri County Youth Services Bureau will be providing an opportunity for kids to make a small holiday gift.

Assistant General Manager Omar Roque sums the event up by saying, “We are really excited about partnering with the Tri County Youth Services Bureau and the Greater Waldorf Jaycees Toys for Tots.  This event is going to be a great opportunity for families to spend a Saturday together without all the hustle and bustle of the holidays.”

Next on the Blue Crabs December agenda is their First New Year’s Eve Extravaganza.  The event will start at 9 p.m. and the fun will conclude at 1:30 a.m., after a night full of music, refreshments, celebration and fireworks!  “This is going to be a very memorable event here at Regency Furniture Stadium.  We are going to end the year the right way, and we are very excited about the fireworks that will be shot off at the stroke of midnight!” said Chris Allen, Blue Crabs general manager.

The Blue Crabs recently started selling their Holiday Ticket Packages which will prove to be great stocking stuffers this holiday season.  For only $88 you will get a gift certificate good for eight tickets to select games for the 2009 season and receive a limited edition Regency Furniture Stadium replica. Anyone who purchases an eight-game holiday package will be entered to win a sky suite for a night in 2009. The Blue Crabs also have a four-game holiday package for $50 and a two-game holiday package for $26, which also include stadium replicas.
