Car Set on Fire, Suspect Wanted

The Maryland State Fire Marshall's Southern Regional Office is investigating a vehicle arson in Waldorf. On Nov. 24, around 6:42 a.m., a Charles County Sheriff on patrol discovered a 1987 Plymouth Reliant on fire at 2670 Crain Highway. Units from the Waldorf Volunteer Fire Department responded to the scene. The fire is believed to have been set and originated in the interior passenger compartment of the vehicle. No injuries were reported. A person wearing a white hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans and white tennis shoes was seen in the area before the fire. Anyone with information about the fire or the person matching the above description is urged to call the office of the State Fire Marshall at (443) 550-6820. |
