Smell of Pot Results in Teen's Arrest

On Nov. 20, at 1:05 a.m., Kwam`e Dewane Barnes, 19 of Prince Frederick, was arrested by Tpr. C. Evans for possession of marijuana and CDS paraphernalia. Barnes was operating a blue Chevrolet Lumina northbound Three Notch Road, in the area of Pegg Road in Lexington Park, when he was stopped for exceeding the posted speed limit. Contact was made with Barnes and a moderate odor of marijuana was emitting from the vehicle. Barnes was found to be in possession of cloth containing marijuana and a partially burnt marijuana cigarette. Barnes was transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center where he was held pending a bond review. |
