Help Police Identify this Man

The Maryland State Police is asking the public’s help in identifying the person pictured who is wanted for questioning regarding a theft and credit card fraud. The victim’s car window was broken out and her purse stolen from within the vehicle while it was parked at Calvert Middle School.  The suspect then used her credit cards to make numerous purchases in the Solomons and Lusby areas of Calvert County. The attached pictures were obtained by Trooper First Class Stein from video surveillance footage at the Giant Food Store in Lusby.  The person pictured is wanted for questioning about this crime.  Anyone with information about the identity of the person pictured is asked to contact TFC Stein or Detective Sergeant Paton at (410) 535-1400.  As always, you may remain anonymous.

hooligan77 11/14/2008 at 8:52 AM Reply to mdeclipse03: yup it is the cashiers responsibility to check, too bad "most" of them are too damn lazy to do it. I used to work in the credit card department at a bank in Maine, so I dealt with all the fraud charges and what not. I get kind of mad when they don't ask me for my ID when i use my card, its pure laziness. It only takes a couple extra seconds. This ones even more pathetic because he stole a females card and used it and the cashiers didn't notice?????? Would be nice if they could be held partially responsible.

tdd_chyck15 11/14/2008 at 8:57 AM Who Cares?? Hmmm.... mdeclipse03.... Let me just say, look around. My response to your comment is this. Yes, it is the responsibility for the cashiers to validate the identity of the card users. Do they, HECK NAH. I am so glad you said something. You don't know how many times I go into Wal-mart, Foodlion, any type of resturants, and they don't bother to ask me for my I.D. You see, I work at a bank, and I know first hand about all the fradulent transactions. My card says Please SEE I.D. They turn the card around, look at me, and then continue. I have actually said to them, can you please do what the card asks?? And then I proceed to explain to them why. I'm sorry to ramble on, but that is something that has really been bothering me. Cpt_Chaos 11/14/2008 at 10:30 AM yeah I agree I have never been mad at a cashier for checking my ID. On the other hand since we all know that cashiers don't check ID's most of the time how about not leaving valuables in your car. Reply to This Comment

pityparty 11/14/2008 at 3:25 PM So just remember.. The next time you are at the check out counter and a clerk asks for your ID don't huff and puff and complain as you dig through your purse or wallet to find it. It is for your own protection that they are asking. And I agree they should ask for ID more. The pictures they got are fairly clear so hopefully they will catch the guy. Reply to This Comment

zincyellow 11/20/2008 at 10:33 AM Reply to pityparty: .... I agree with everyone of you about the cashier not asking for ID, But consider that some stores have self check now. I have not been in that store but I know that some that I do go to have them.
