At approximately 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 6, two vehicles collided on Great Mills Road in Lexington Park, just a few hours after an earlier accident in the same locale.

This accident at 21499 Great Mills Road was in the same stretch of road as the accident earlier in the day, this one resulting in two with injuries. However, the Bay District and Lexington Park units responding did not have to extract the accident victims from the vehicles - a Handa CRV and a Ford F250 pick-up.

There was a dog in the back seat at the time of the accident. The K-9 was agitated and upset after the incident, but otherwise unharmed. Family members showed up to take the dog home.
