Woman Banned from Food Lion

On Oct. 30, at 1:44 p.m., TFC R. Rezza responded to the Food Lion store at 45315 Alton Lane in California, for the reported theft under $100. 

Upon arrival, contact was made with the female store employee, who advised Denise Lachelle Williams, 40 of Lexington Park, was observed stealing items from the store and left the store. 

TFC Rezza observed the suspect at Cheseldine Tire Center at Miramar Way just south of the Food Lion.  Contact was made with the suspect.  Employees also responded and positively identified Williams as the suspect. 

Williams was taken into custody for theft under $100 and transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center.  Once at the Detention Center, Williams had in her possession a wallet not belonging to her.  The wallet was previously reported stolen to the St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office.  Williams also had open warrants on file through the St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office.  She was issued a No Trespass Notice for the Food Lion in California. 

She was charged accordingly and held at the St. Mary’s County Detention Center.
