On Oct. 14 at 6:30 a.m., Charles County Sheriff’s officers responded to a business in the 4400 block of Southern Business Park Drive in Waldorf for the report of a break-in.

Investigation revealed sometime between Oct. 13 at 5:30 p.m. and Oct. 14 at 6:30 a.m., the suspect broke into the business by breaking out a window.

A television and other items were stolen. Officers searched the perimeter but the suspect fled prior to police arrival. Officer R Johnson is investigating.

The Charles County Sheriff’s Office is asking citizens to call police immediately if they observe suspicious activity in or around businesses, particularly if it’s after hours and the business is closed. Reporting suspicious behavior, combined with increased police patrols throughout the business community, can help decrease the number of break-ins that occur.
