Busy, Up in Smoke

On Tuesday, Oct. 7 at approximately 11:30 a.m., four cars collided on Three Notch Road in California. Units from Bay District, Lexington Park and St. Mary's County Sheriff's responded.

A few involved had minor injuries. One accident victim had to be transported by ambulance to St. Mary's Hospital.

Clean-up efforts continue. All three Northbound main lanes of traffic are being diverted to the right turn-only lane. There are traffic slowdowns in the southbound direction as passersby slow to look at the accident.

People around here cant drive, nobody pays attention.

I agree and would like to add that some people drive too fast on Route 235 in their attempt to avoid the next red light. I hope all are okay.

On my way to pick up a friend who had been involved in an accident last night, I came upon the back up and emergency vehicles responding to this accident on 235 North near the exit to K Mart. Even with the fire trucks and ambulances trying to get to the scene of the accident drivers were still speeding, driving aggressively, changing lanes, and driving with wreckless abandonment. Where do you all think you're going? I'll tell you where, 6 feet under. I don't know about you but I am in no hurry to go there. The people involved in this accident were "lucky" from that standpoint. Do Americans have a Death Wish or think they're invincible? Please everybody, SLOW DOWN AND LIVE. A couple of seconds in the grand scheme of things will not make any difference. SLOW DOWN, STAY IN LANE, STOP JUMPING LANES ALL OVER THE HIGHWAY. May I also add, plan ahead, where you're going and the lane you need to get into BEFORE your turn. I can almost hear your unspoken, "@#$% I gotta turn here NOW!!" Let the lane changing begin, everybody out of my way! Has it ever occured to you that of you do miss your turn you can procede safely to the next exit, make your turn and back track.You are not accomplishing a damn thing and are not only endangering your own life but the lives of others. I'm glad I'm not a cop or I would have perpetual writers cramp from ticketing you bozos!! Now SLOW DOWN and USE YOUR BRAINS!!

I agree with EVERYTHING you said. It seems like people who drive on 235 (not all people mind you) have a death wish. I've seen people start to take off at a red light before the light even turns green. It's like God forbid you actuall WAIT for the light to change. Then you have these people who like to STOP in the middle of the lane because they want to get over to the next lane and no one lets them in!! So the people behind that person have to slam their breaks to avoid hitting that person. And of course there's those who would rather pay attention to the text messaging on their phones than to actually pay attention to the roads.. It's a madhouse on 235 everyday!! I'm thankful I actually get from A to B alive!!

I couldnt agree with you more. I was warned about the accident on my home (I live right behind KMart) so I was going to take the bypass road across Walmart & KMart. I was in the left turn lane for the 1st entrance (going north) to Walmart when a huge SUV with no turn signal decided they didnt want to wait in traffic OR to be let in to the turning lane!!! And then the stupid woman cut off a van that had NO STOP SIGN at the next stop. MORONS! WHY DONT WE CREATE ANOTHER ACCIDENT WHILE AVOIDING THE FIRST ACCIDENT JUST BC WE FEEL LIKE IT!

the guy in the silver car must have done something really bad in life.. He is the same idoit that 2 days later his house was raided! I see y his mother would call him son...hes bright! and speakin of his mother, god i hope he is an only child, cuz lord know we dont need two of this winner in this world!) well im sure he will prolly gets lots of time for the drug charges and hopefully he will get time for this and he will probally have to do his back up time for the escape! i know the papers say he is 22, but maybe while her son is rottin n prison she can take some parenting classes!
