Alleged Party Attack Ends with Multiple Hit and Runs, Personal Injuries and Arrest

At approximately 1 a.m. on Sunday, Nov. 1 authorities responded to what can only be classified as a strange incident that occurred on Winding Way in Lord Calvert Trailer Park in Great Mills. Police received multiple calls for pedestrians being struck, numerous fights and vehicles being struck.

St. Mary's Square Free Fall Festival - Truly a Community Event

St. Mary's Square's first Free Fall Festival in Lexington Park was a smashing good time. Not even a few sprinkles could deter families and tons of "Trick-or-Treaters" from coming out! This event was about bringing the community together, and not just about handing out candy.

Dorsey Awarded 2009 St. Mary's County Preservation Award

On Oct. 27, Philip H. Dorsey III was awarded the St. Mary's County 2009 Preservation Project Award for the restoration and renovation done to historic St. Peters Chapel located at 22835 Washington St. in Leonardtown.

Bluegrass for Hospice Music Festival Featured Some Great Entertainers

On Saturday October 24, there was a Bluegrass music show to raise funds for the first ever Hospice House in St. Mary's County. Presented and coordinated by Jay Armsworthy, the "Bluegrass for Hospice" was held at the Flat Iron Farm on Flat Iron Road in Great Mills.

St. Mary's County Sheriffs are investigating a head on collision involving two vehicles in the area just south of Wickshire Drive in Hermanville that has left one man dead.

Official Press Release: Missing Teen Found Deceased

OFFICIAL PRESS RELEASE: On Oct. 27 at approximately 5:24 a.m. St. Mary's County Sheriff's Office patrol units responded to a Mechanicsville residence for the report of a missing 17 year old juvenile who was believed to be armed with several weapons.

Wounded Warriors Get a Boost From Comedy Show

On Oct. 24, BPOElks #2092 held another fundraising effort for the Wounded Warrior Project in California. Not only was there a whole day of fun, but later that evening a Comedy Show provided some great laughs for a great cause.
