Save the Ta Ta's Bikini Contest - Fun for a Good Cause

This past Saturday, Oct. 3, Leonardtown's Buffalo Wings & Beer hosted the Save the Ta Ta's Bikini Contest to benefit breast cancer. According to event organizer, Mandy Echoff, there were 19 contestants, four of which were men.

NAMI Southern Maryland Observes Mental Illness Awareness Week

Mental Illness Awareness Week is Oct. 4 to 10. Established by Congress in 1990, its purpose is to promote public awareness and education about serious mental illnesses such as major depression, bipolar disorder and schizophrenia. Other illnesses include post-traumatic stress disorder.
