With November designated as National Hospice Month, it is fitting to recognize the vision of Hospice's founders with the new Hospice House of St. Mary's in Callaway, MD, which will start accepting patients Nov.30.
On Nov. 19 at 6 p.m. the community of Hickory Hills began its first Neighborhood Watch. After years of escalating crime and an ever-increasing number of non-resident criminals operating in the community, the Hickory Hills Home Owners decided that enough was enough.
On Nov. 19, Detectives from the St. Mary’s County Bureau of Criminal Investigations made an additional arrest in the Armed Robbery of Scott Bush on Sept. 26, in Lexington Park.
On Wednesday, Nov. 18 in the J.T. Daugherty Conference Center, St. Mary's County Public Schools Superintendent, Dr. Michael J. Martirano presented his annual State of the Schools address. In his remarks, Martirano cheerfully discussed the steady improvements by students and staff.
