At approximately 4:00 am on Saturday, July 4th, the Prince Frederick and Huntingtown Volunteer Fire Department and Rescue Squads had a report of an auto accident on Calvert Towne Road in Prince Frederick.

On July 2, St. Mary's County BCI detectives arrested Charles L. (Skippy) Guy Jr., 45 of Hollywood, along with his son, Charles B. Guy, 19 of Mechanicsville. The pair were charged with two counts of burglary, theft and property destruction.
A new women's exercise center, Fitness And More, opened in Hollywood on May 4 and is owned by three local women, Brenda Tominack, Janet Evans, and Connie Khinoo-Olsen. The new gym is located on Route 235 North in the Hollywood Plaza and is taking new members.
