Anti War Students 1/16/2007 10:14 AM EST Students active in the Anti-war group, Peace Forum (a part of the Campus Anti-War Network) at the University of Maryland are announcing the call for all CAN chapters, anti-war student groups, and students from all over the East Coast and the country to march together as a student contingent for the January 27th protest in Washington, DC to demand TROOPS OUT NOW! President Bush will announce the increase of sending 20,000 more troops to Iraq. It's important to tell the new Congress and the President we want the TROOPS OUT NOW. Over 3,000 American troops have been killed in Iraq and over 600,000 Iraqis killed. Things have not gotten better since the United States invaded Iraq almost four years ago, half of the country is unemployed, there is still no regular access to public utilities, and even polls done by the United States government has shown the majority of the Iraqi population wants the United States out. Students and groups interested, bring signs and banners with your slogans and demands as well. We will be assembling at the corner of 3rd and Pennsylvania at 11 A.M. and around noon we will walk down to the rally at 3rd and 7th Streets to gear up for the march.
