Tiled floors 10/23/2006 4:54 PM EST Has anyone laid floor tiles themselves? I imagine the most difficult thing would be having to cut them to fit corners etc.

11/2/2006 9:56 AM EST { In reply to Boneybob } { In reply to patchtuesday }No I didn't get tile for my birthday. Actually I'm still waiting for my present...from last year too As for the project...little daunted. I want to put in hardwood floors and tile in the bathrooms. I want the big planks of hardwood, not the little tongue and groove stuff. There's wood I can use if I get it milled, and it's lovely. But I'm told it's harder than buying it, because it's more natural, not dried in racks etc., thus harder to lay. Don't really have free time right now, but maybe in the new year. My brother should be arriving to study here, so he might be able to help. My mum is coming to visit from Cyprus for a whole month, too. Not sure she can lay a floor, but will be nice
