Rotten Tomatoes

What's your favorite thing to grow?
I grew tomatoes last year --and a few of the cherries were good. Also grew mixed lettuce--not really especially tasty, but then it was lettuce.

Do you have anything that grows really well?

Also, last year I had a few problems with bugs, but nothing like the Japenese Beetles from the year before.

I grew my vegetables in pots last year to avoid as many bugs from the rest of the garden. Is it as good to grow in pots or better to plant in regular beds?

Any expert gardeners?

My tomatos grow like crazy, I've never had a bad year. Although I had a worm ( resembled a tobacco worm ) that ate all of my green leaves, and left piles of droppings everywhere. It was huge !! It actually startled me when I first saw it, and I'm not squeemish around bugs. ICK !!!
I have had great success with squash, too. Yellow, zucchini, spaghetti. However, when the "stink bugs" take over, it's a total loss. They eat everything, and they smell awful when squished. But I usually get a good crop before they move in. Peas, too if you get them in early enough. Good luck !

Everything said above, and add green peppers. They grow really well around here.

Cucumbers, tomatos, corn, peas, peppers -- it's all good to grow, and good to eat! Salad, anyone?

I bought the balcony or porch tomatoes and both plants are growing like crazy. I thought they were going to be small and bushy but the plants are as large as regular tomato plants and the tomatoes are a plenty. The problem is if the soil isn't saturated all the time, the pots fall over. It is almost like they are mutant versions of what I thought.

My granddad grows stuff every year. He loves his tomato plants. He's already had 4 sets of squash grow. I'm waiting for my peppers though.

There is all kinds of tomatoes all over the plants but they are still quite green. I have had them potted since April so maybe they got a bit of a head start. on yours.

X, I love peppers and should have planted some of the yellows and reds, they are a bit sweeter.
