Waldorf, MD – A reported early-morning armed robbery at a Charles County convenience store is under investigation, police reported. According to Charles County Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Diane Richardson, the incident occurred Monday morning, Dec. 17 at a 7-Eleven story on Route 5 (Leonardtown Road). At approximately 3:30 a.m. the suspect walked into the store, produced a weapon and demanded money. The clerk complied and the robber fled the store. Richardson told TheBayNet.com that the clerk was not injured during the incident. No description of the perpetrator has been divulged at this time.
