Self-defense academy to hold special training for women

Prince Frederick, MD - The growth of the #MeToo movement on social media has shed a much-needed light on the problem of sexual harassment and abuse.  With the goal of standing in unity to say #ENOUGH, Black Belt Academy of Prince Frederick will be hosting a FREE Assertiveness/Self-defense course on Saturday, Nov. 11 from 1-3 p.m.

The seminar will include a round table discussion, assertiveness/self-defense training, and a host of contacts within the local community to further assist in the needs of the participants.

In lieu of a fee for the course, Black Belt Academy will be accepting donations for Ruth's Miracle Group Home Foundation. Ruth's Miracle is a transitional home for women recovering from domestic violence, substance abuse, and incarceration in Southern Maryland.

This seminar is intended for women ages 12 and up and will be limited to the first 40 registrants. Since we expect this seminar to fill to capacity, pre-registration will be required. Please call Black Belt Academy at 410-414-7530 to sign up today.
