Ruth Elizabeth Berry, 75 of Great Mills, MD, died on September 14, 2002 at George Washington University Hospital. Born August 22, 1927 in Washington, DC, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Logan and Agnes Dorsey. Mrs. Berry was a life long resident of St. Mary?s County, a member of the First Missionary Baptist Church, Pastor Aide Ministry and a member of the Senior Citizen Companionship Program. Mrs. Berry is survived by three daughters, Pearline Hall of Rochester, NY, Diane Berry of Lexington Park, MD, Alberta Wiggins of Great Mills, MD, four sons, James Dorsey of Rochester, NY, Thomas Dorsey, and Jeffrey Berry both of Lexington Park, MD, Ruben Berry of Annapolis, MD, one sister Annie Geraldine Dorsey of Lexington Park, MD, three brothers, George Dorsey of Lexington Park, MD, Lawrence and Charles Dorsey both of Rochester, NY, 13 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Family and friends will be received on Thursday, September 19, 2002 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. in The First Missionary Baptist Church, Lexington Park, MD, where a Funeral Service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Roderick McClanahan officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers for Mrs. Berry will be: Lovell Grymes, Gerard Campbell, Rodney McDaniel, Kenney Briscoe, Michael Gaines and Valentino Johnson. Funeral arrangements provided by the Brinsfield Funeral Home, P.A., Leonardtown, MD.
