Hollywood, MD- The days are getting cooler and shorter—and they’re about to be cut even shorter this weekend.

Daylight Saving Time ends this Sunday, Nov. 5. The good news is—you get an extra hour of sleep when the clocks go back an hour. The bad news—it’s going to be dark when most of us leave work.

The United States first observed Daylight Saving Time in 1918—but there are still two states who do not observe DST; Hawaii and Arizona.

This is also the time of year when fire departments remind you to check the batteries in your smoke detectors!
