MetCom to Hold Piney Point Water System info meeting

Piney Point, MD - The St. Mary’s County Metropolitan Commission will hold a Public Informational Meeting to discuss the Piney Point Water System Replacement Project No. 5111WR.  The project, consistent with the approved capital budget, will construct new water mains along MD 249 and Lighthouse Road to connect the existing water mains located in Piney Point subdivision.  These additional mains are required to loop the water service thereby improving system flows, capacity and reliability.  The proposed alignment will utilize existing St. Mary’s County Department of Public Works and Transportation (DPW&T) and Maryland State Highway Administration (SHA) Right-Of-Way (ROW). 

Rights of Entry for this project will be available to for signature to Piney Point residents impacted by this project.

The Public Meeting will be held on Wednesday, November 8, 2017 at 6:30 p.m. at the Harry Lundeberg School of Seamanship located at 45353 St. George’s Avenue in Piney Point, MD. The plans and specifications can be inspected at the time of the meeting or at MetCom’s Engineering Department office location, noted above, from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM Monday through Friday.
