St. Mary's County Sheriff's Office crime report

Theft/Theft Scheme - On October 3, 2013, Deputy Teague of the Patrol Division responded to Walmart located in California, Maryland for a reported employee theft. Loss Prevention personnel alleged employee Rochelle Abdelaziz, 35, of Lusby, Maryland stole store merchandise, cash, and gift cards valued at over $5,000.00 while employed at the business. Abdelaziz was seen committing the thefts on video surveillance. She was placed under arrest by Deputy Teague and transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center. She was charged with Theft Over $1,000.00, Theft Scheme Over $1,000.00, and Theft Scheme Under $1,000.00.

Trespassing/Property Destruction - On October 4, 2013, Deputy Wesner of the Patrol Division responded to the True Value store located in Ridge, Maryland. He observed Tracy Lynn Gue, 38, of Ridge, Maryland damaging items of merchandise in the store and placed her under arrest. An employee of the business alleged Gue had been issued a notice not to trespass on the property and provided a copy of the notice to Deputy Wesner. Gue was transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center and charged with Malicious Destruction of Property Over $500.00 and Trespass: Private Property.

Theft - On October 5, 2013, Deputy Schultz of the Patrol Division responded to a residence located in Lexington Park, Maryland for a reported theft. The victim alleged a female subject came to his residence and asked to use his restroom and telephone. The victim allowed the female into the residence. The victim discovered a wallet containing money missing and called police. The victim was able to provide Deputy Schultz with enough information to identify the female as Robin Ann Laabs, 43, of Lexington Park. Laabs was located and after additional investigation, she was placed under arrest and transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center. She was charged with Theft Less Than $1,000.00.

Assault - On October 5, 2013, Deputy Phelan of the Patrol Division responded to a residence located in Mechanicsville, Maryland for a reported assault. The victim alleged Andre Marquelle Proctor, 37, of Mechanicsville assaulted the victim with his hands during an argument. It was also alleged Proctor assaulted two other victim’s during the same argument. Deputy Phelan observed fresh evidence of injury on the victims and placed Proctor under arrest. Proctor was transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center and charged with three (3) counts of 2nd Degree Assault by Deputy Phelan.

10-3-13 Michele Stephanie McCurry, 35, of Chaptico, Maryland – Three Counts 2nd Degree Assault, 2nd Degree Assault on Law Enforcement Officer, and Malicious Destruction of Property Under $500.00 by Corporal Carberry

10-3-13 Sheila Juanita Somerville, 38, of Lexington Park, Maryland – Fugitive Other Jurisdiction (Virginia) by Deputy Cole
