Jack Diamond

Jack Diamond, 77, of Owings passed away May 15, 2018 at his residence. He was born April 12, 1941 in Rices Landing, PA to Clyde and Dorothy Diamond.

Jack was raised in Rices Landing and attended Jefferson High School, before transferring and graduating from Cumberland Township High School in Carmichaels, PA, where he was the quarterback of the football team. Following high school, he joined the United States Army and was later honorably discharged.

Jack met Diane Viola in high school and they married in Winchester, VA in 1960. They lived in Pennsylvania and California before settling in Cleveland, OH. They moved to Owings in 1984. Jack was employed with Caterpillar, Inc. as an engineer in Ohio. After he and Diane moved to Maryland, Jack went to work for his brother at Diamond Containers as a plant manager in Capitol Heights. He later went to work for Trash Masters in District Heights as a mechanic, retiring in 2006. Jack also owned and operated JD Antiques in Chesapeake Beach for 20 years. Jack thoroughly enjoyed yard sales and bought anything and everything he saw. He also enjoyed fishing, camping, hunting and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Jack’s greatest joy in life was his family.

Jack was preceded in death by his wife Diane Diamond on February 15, 2018, sister Delores Diamond and brother Clyde Diamond. He is survived by his daughter Kelly Arbour and husband Robert of Sunderland, grandchildren Jack Vincent Diamond and Bobbie Diane Arbour, brothers Jimmy and Brack Diamond, sister Doris Diamond Miller and half-brother Marko Diamond.
