Two arrested for armed robbery, attempted murder of taxi driver

Leslie Broadway

On April 30 at 4:11 p.m., an adult male cab driver had two male fares in the cab when one of the men produced a handgun and demanded money from the cab driver.  The cab driver drove into the 700 block of Newtowne Drive and locked the suspects in the cab. The suspects fled the cab while it was moving and then fired a round into the cab striking the cab, but not the driver. The cab driver drove away and called the police. The suspects were not located.

Through investigation detectives were able to identify Leslie Broadway, 19, of Severn as a suspect in this robbery. On May 2, Broadway was located in Severn and arrested.

Broadway was charged with attempted murder, armed robbery and ten other charges related to this crime. Broadway is being held at the Jennifer Road Detention Center without bond.

A second suspect was identified as Myriah Adams (no photo available), 22, of Glen Burnie. She was arrested May 5 and charged with armed robbery and eleven other related charges.
