Woman dies in Downtown Annapolis crash

Annapolis, MD - Officers are investigating a fatal traffic accident involving two vehicles. The crash occurred Monday morning, April 22 on West Street. The crash occurred shortly before 8 a.m.

Preliminary investigations indicate the driver of a Chevrolet Cavalier, Kimberly Kiriou, 59, of Baltimore was leaving the driveway of the Dunkin’ Donuts and turning east on to West St. A Ford F150 operated by Brett Edwards, 23 of Glen Burnie was traveling west on West St. The Ford struck the Chevrolet on the driver’s side. The driver of the Ford suffered minor injuries and was transported to Anne Arundel Medical Center and later released. The driver of the Chevrolet, Kimberly Kiriou, suffered life threatening injuries and died after being transported to Anne Arundel Medical Center.
