ELLYNNE EN POINTE - Former guv gets SNL plug

On April 11, Saturday Night Live (SNL) featured a skit with Guest Host Taraji P. Henson—who portrays Cookie on Fox’s hit show Empire—proclaiming that you know you’ve really “made it” when you appear on SNL. Well, during SNL’s opening sequence that same night, the actress playing wannabe-President Hillary Clinton teased some of her potential Democratic opponents, mentioning the name of Maryland’s former governor Martin O’Malley among them. Actually, the actress said that she thought his name sounded like a character from The Simpsons cartoon show. But hey, there he was, Maryland’s own former governor being talked about on SNL! Congratulations are in order.
