St. Mary's man arrested for theft

LEONARDTOWN, Md. - On March 7, 2019, Cpl. Corcoran responded to the 45100 block of First Colony Way, in California, for the reported theft.  Investigation determined Richard Alvin Nolan III, age 31 with no fixed address, removed a security device from a vacuum cleaner and attempted to leave the Target store without purchasing the item.  When confronted by store employees Nolan fled on foot.  Cpl. Corcoran located Nolan in the area; investigation determined Nolan had also previously stolen another vacuum cleaner from the store.  It was also discovered Nolan had previously been served a notice not to trespass for the store in October of 2018. Nolan was arrested and charged with Theft, Trespassing, and Theft Scheme.  CASE# 13915-19
