Coastal Flood Warning now in effect


St. Mary's County, MD - The National Weather Service has issued a coastal flood warning now in effect until 10 p.m. this evening near the shoreline in St. Mary's County. Tidal departure is expected to be 2 to 3 feet above normal.

High tide at Point Lookout will be at 5:27 p.m., Piney Point will be at 6:46 p.m., and Coltons Point will be at 7:22 p.m. 

Water is expected to cover roads on St. George Island, be in yards, and approach structures. To the east, inundation is expected at multiple marinas off St. Mary's River, Smith Creek, and Jutland Creek. Shoreline inundation is possible elsewhere.
