Suitland, Md- Around 3:00 p.m., March 2nd, a resident of Andrews Ridge Apartments called 911 after noticing one of the walls in their apartment building bowing out. This call saved the lives of 300 people who live in this apartment complex.

Prince George's County Fire and EMS spokesperson, Mark Brady, stated that, "Shortly after we evacuated that building, the wall collapsed." They investigated several other buildings which were exhibiting the same bowing out effect from the winds. After this investigation of the other buildings, it was determined that the entire complex, which houses around 300 people, would need to be evacuated.

There were no civilian injuries, however a medic unit called to the scene, suffered very extensive damage after roofing flew off and struck the unit. Mark Brady stated that "the medic crews were shaken up, but not injured."
