Arsonist sets car aflame during early hours

HUNTINGTOWN, Md. - Units from the Huntingtown Volunteer Fire Department responded to a vehicle fire Feb. 11 at 1:35 a.m. Discovered by a passing motorist, six firefighters arrived to the intersection of Bowie Shop Road and Solomon's Island Road of Huntingtown and had the fire under control within 10 minutes. 

Upon further investigation, authorities learned that the 2007 GMC Acadia, owned by Ramon Mendoza, was intentionally set on fire from the interior of the car. The cost of damage to the vehicle is estimated to be $7,000.
