California man to be sentenced for attempted murder

Leonardtown, MD- A California man is scheduled to be sentenced Tuesday, Jan. 30 for attempted second-degree murder.

In September of 2017, Delonte Deangelo Harvey, now 25, pleaded guilty to the attempted murder charge and robbery. Harvey was arrested along with two other men in April of 2016 for a shooting and stabbing in the Greenbrier neighborhood off Hermanville Road in Lexington Park.

Harvey was facing eight charges, including attempted first-degree murder and armed robbery. Those charges were dropped in exchange for the plea deal.

Harvey was with two other men the night of the crime. Javone Lawrence Warrick, now 26, also pleaded guilty to attempted second-degree murder and robbery. He was sentenced to 15 years in prison with all but 7 years suspended.

Keyonte Tarez Robinson, now 24, pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor handgun charge. He was sentenced to three years in prison with all 18 month suspended. Robinson was authorized work released and ordered a two year supervised probation upon release.
