2008 Youth Co-Ed Summer Basketball League

Open to boys and girls age 7-17. Age groups are 7-8, 9-10, 11-13, and 14-17. REGISTRATION IS LIMITED! The registration deadline is May 23. The resident fee is $45 per child (non-resident: $50). Late registrations, based on availability, will be accepted May 22-23 with additional fee of $15 at the Department of Community Services located at 8190 Port Tobacco Rd, Port Tobacco.
The Department of Community Services' community-based recreational youth basketball league is, first and foremost, intended to provide a positive social experience for young boys and girls with emphasis placed on good sportsmanship, fun, and exercise. Children are placed on teams based on area, age, height, and experience. Coaches are NYSCA certified. Players and coaches receive a team shirt. Visit your Community Center for size samples. It is your responsibility to select the correct shirt size. Leagues may be combined if not enough participation.
Youth age 7-10 will have practices scheduled to start no later than 7:00pm, Monday-Thursday. Coaches are responsible for contacting you regarding schedules (slated to begin the week of June 23. The two-game-per-week season (no practices) runs June 30-August 1. Games may be played at Hanson, Davis, Mattawoman, McDonough, Stoddert, and Wade.
