Funeral MassViewingGeorge "Junior" Aloysious Parker, 85, of Charlotte Hall, Maryland, passed away at Charlotte Hall Veterans Home on January 11, 2012. He was born on January 04, 1926 in Oakley, Maryland.

Mr. Parker was the son of the late Harry Plater and the late Julia Parker.

George enjoyed reading and listening to jazz music. He was in the Navy and served in WW2 and The Korean War.

Aside from his parents, George is predeceased by his beloved wife, Colletta Parker; and his 2 daughters, Ursula Parker and Aleta Parker.

George is survived by his 2 sons, Ivan Julian and Gerald "Len" Parker of Brooklyn New York; his brother, James Parker; his sister, Dorothy Clark; 6 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00AM on Friday, January 20, 2012 at Holy Angel's Catholic Church, 21340 Colton's Point Road, Avenue, Maryland 20609-9707. All arrangements are being handled by Brinsfield-Echols Funeral Home, P.A., 30195 Three Notch Road, Charlotte Hall, Maryland 20622, www.brinsfieldecholsfuneral.com. Interment will follow at a later date at Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington, VA.
