James Henry Hodges, 56 of Mechanicsville, MD, formerly of Forestville, MD, died July 2, 2009 at his residence. Born July 23, 1952 in Washington, D.C., he was the son of Harold H. Hodges and Doris Johnson Hodges.

Mr. Hodges was an over the road Truck Driver, he was a member of Mt. Zion United Methodist Church; he loved to ride Harley Davidson motorcycles.

Mr. Hodges was predeceased by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Brenda F. Hodges; daughters; Lisa Marie Howard (Duke) of Waldorf, MD and Dominique Showalter (Claude) of Golden Beach, MD, brother; Harold Wayne Hodges, of Golden Beach, MD and 6 grandchildren.

The family will receive relatives and friends for Jim's Life Celebration on Monday, July 6, 2009 from 4-8p.m. at the Brinsfield-Echols Funeral Home, P.A., 30195 Three Notch Rd., Charlotte Hall, MD. A funeral service will be conducted on Tuesday, July 7, 2009 at Brinsfield-Echols at 11:00a.m. with Reverend Ann Strickler officiating. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Waldorf, MD.

Pallbearers will be Claude Showalter, Jr., David E. Butler, Jr., Jason Butler, Rick DiStefano, Brandon Howard and Ronnie Denham.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of St. Mary's, Inc. P.O. Box 625, Leonardtown, MD 20650.
