Enforcement of all laws applicable to St. Mary’s County and the State of Maryland.

                Management of the Detention Center.

                Security of the Court System.

                Service of Writs of Execution, Attachments, Body Attachment, and Subpoenas for Civil and Criminal Court appearance.

                Protection of Persons from loss of life or injury.

                Protection of Property from loss.

Meeting Dates: 

Monthly meetings will be held the 1st Monday of the month at 6:00 p.m. in the St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office Training Room.

Board Composition:

The Board Composition shall be no less than 12 and no more than 28 board members.    

Term Limit: 

Board members shall serve no more than two (2) consecutive 3-year terms.

2.                Complete the membership application and attach a Letter of Interest addressed to The Honorable David D. Zylak, 23150 Leonard Hall Drive, Leonardtown, MD  20650 including why you are applying.  Please be sure to include a resume with a clear statement of current employment (job title, place of employment) or an indication if you are retired or not working.  If a resume is not attached, your application will not be considered.
