On July 9, Charles County Sheriff’s detectives located and charged Shawn Patrick Riley, 22 of Waldorf, with first and second degree assault, reckless endangerment and possession of a deadly weapon in connection with the stabbing of a 17-year-old male that occurred on July 2 in the 5800 block of Hammerhead Court.

Riley was remanded to the Charles County Department of Corrections. Officer C. Baker is investigating.
