14th Annual Karaoke for Hospice House Set for Saturday, June 28

The contest will be held at the F.O.P. Lodge #7.

All prospective Jon Bon Jovis and Travis Tritts, Carrie Underwoods and Johnny Cashs are invited to come to the F. O. P. Lodge  No. 7 on Chancellors Run Road just off Great Mills Road, to test their prowess on the microphone for a good cause.

The charitable event will run from 2 to 11 p.m. with karaoke contests occurring from 2 to 7 p.m. After the karaoke, visitors will enjoy a dance until the end of the festivities.

The singers who raise the most money can win the grand prize of two tickets to the Kenny Loggins concert at the Calvert Marine Museum in July and a dinner for two at the St. Mary's Yachting Center and Camping Grounds. The child who raises the most money will win a crisp, new $50 bill, courtesy of Cedar Point Federal Credit Union. Nicoletti's Pizza will provide a free pizza..

For those not participating in the karaoke competition, a charitable donation of only $5 is requested. Karaoke contestants are asked to pledge a minimum of $25. All the monies raised will be used to build a new Hospice House of St. Mary’s. This year’s event is being dedicated to the memory of Mark Lee O’Connor who passed away January 12 after a sudden death from cardiac arrest.Please make all checks payable to Hospice House of St. Mary’s.
