LEONARDTOWN - 5/29/2008
|
Special Olympics Maryland of St. Mary’s County recently held its annual Spring Games at Leonardtown High School, celebrating the successes of many of local athletes. Crowds of spectators, family members, government officials and community leaders filled the stands to watch the events unfold on the sprawling campus on April 29. Events included track and field, with running and jumping competitions, softball, shot put and bocce ball. The event was sponsored by dozens of local companies and groups, including Booz, Allen Hamilton, the Knight of Columbus #1470 and Northrop Grumman.
